Code of Ethics

Dolomites Research Notes on Approximation is an open access journal that publishes peer-reviewed papers, lecture notes and slides of the tutorials presented at the annual Dolomites Research Weeks and Workshops, which have been organized regularly since 2006 by the Padova-Verona Research Group on Constructive Approximation and Applications (CAA) at the summer courses site of the University of Verona in Alba di Canazei (Trento, Italy). The Dolomites Research Notes on Approximation also publishes, on invitation, survey papers and summaries of Ph.D. theses on approximation theory, algorithms, and applications.
The ethic statements of the Dolomites Research Notes on Approximation , concerning the duties of the editors, are based on guidelines of Committee on Publication Ethics.

DUTIES OF EDITORS

The Editors actively work to improve the quality of the Dolomites Research Notes on Approximation and they are responsible for deciding which of the papers submitted should be published or not.
The Editors evaluate manuscripts for their intellectual/scientific content without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political orientation of the authors.
The Editors and any editorial board must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, other editorial advisors, and the publisher.
Unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript must not be used by editors without the express written consent of the author.

DUTIES OF AUTHORS

Authors of reports of original research should present an accurate account of the work performed as well as an objective discussion of its significance. The papers should contain sufficient detail and references to permit others to replicate the work. Fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements constitute unethical behaviour and are unacceptable.
Usually, authors should not publish manuscripts presenting the same research in Dolomites Research Notes on Approximation and in other journal , with a simultaneous submission.
The authors should ensure that they take care about excessive citations; in other words they have written entirely original works, and if the authors have used the work and/or words of others that this has been appropriately cited or quoted. It's possible to list as co-authors those who make important and significant contributions to the paper submitted.
The author must avoid to submit many very similar manuscripts based on the same experiment or study.
The author should ensure that all co-authors are included on the paper, and that all co-authors have seen and approved the final version of the paper and have agreed to its submission to the Dolomites Research Notes on Approximation for its publication.
Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given like publications that have been influential in determining the nature of the reported work, including students and/or laboratory technicians.
If an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in his own published work, it is the author's obligation to notify the Dolomites Research Notes on Approximation editor and/or publisher and cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the paper.
